Event Overview
Tech Connect Enterprise Hackathon — “Ship It Right” is a one-day event where teams of 3–5 build applications, present at afterwork drinks, and have code scanned by AI agents.
The best enterprise code wins.
Format
Section titled “Format”- Teams: 3–5 people
- Duration: One working day, <time_range?>
- Location: <venue?> (power and Wi-Fi), moving to <afterwork_location?> for demos
- AI tools: Fully encouraged — Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, whatever you want
AI agents evaluate code quality at freeze. Judges require explanation of decisions.
The Project
Section titled “The Project”The brief is revealed at <time?> on the day of the event. It will be a real-world application challenge. Details remain confidential until the morning.
What you can count on: it’s scoped to be achievable in a day, requires proper engineering discipline to do well, and has enough depth that no two teams will ship the same thing.
AI Policy
Section titled “AI Policy”AI coding tools are allowed. You must explain all decisions. AI agents evaluate code equally, regardless of origin.

After the Code Freeze
Section titled “After the Code Freeze”At <time?>, repos are locked. Teams move to <afterwork_location?>. During the afterwork event, AI agents scan codebases and compile reports for judges.
Each team gets 8 minutes: 5-minute demo, 3-minute Q&A.
